This provides the statistics relating to 'Foreign Direct Investment'
as announced by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and of overseas business
activities based on the 'Basic (Trend) Survey of Overseas Business
Activities' announced by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
'Foreign Direct Investment' is based on reports which companies
submit to Bank of Japan in accordance with the Foreign Exchange
Law.
'Basic (Trend) Survey of Overseas Business Activities' is a survey
undertaken with companies that have overseas affiliates.
