Nikkei has developed data access options to fulfill the requirements
of its clients. NEEDS-BULK/FDS (data transmission via FTP) is
designed for investment banks, financial institutions, portfolio
and fund managers, risk managers, analysts who need easy, timely
access to huge quantity of data. NEEDS-FinancialQUEST (Internet-based
interface) enables investors and academics who need accurate
data on as needed basis. Users also benefit from NEEDS-SPOT (CD-ROM/DVD-ROM), which provides high quality and consistent
historical data.
BULK/FDS
NEEDS-BULK/FDS transmits large amounts of NEEDS data directly
to the clients' system using Internet FTP.
FinancialQUEST
NEEDS-FinancialQUEST is an on-demand type of service that enables
users to search the vast quantity of data stored in the central
database of NEEDS, and to download it quickly, via the Internet,
straight to his or her own Windows PC. This easy-to-use software
provides smaller scale research teams and fund-managers fast
access to the NEEDS database.
CD ROM
NEEDS data is delivered by CD-ROM/DVD-ROM. An update and supplement service is available
on a monthly and annual basis. We have easy to use software
with screens, item lists and search functions for financial statements,
macro-economic, shareholders and shareholding databases.
SPOT
NEEDS SPOT service gives users one time access to historical NEEDS
database. Data is provided via e-mail or CD-ROM/DVD-ROM.
